The Estate

The company of Eduard Arranz-Bravo’s two sons. It administers the legacy and it answers: it authenticates, authorises reproductions, handles loans and maintains the catalogue of the complete work.

What the Estate does

    The work is protected by copyright. Reproducing it in a catalogue, a book, an exhibition or the press requires authorisation.

    The Estate documents, studies and classifies the complete work. The public catalogue shows 104 works; the rest is consulted through the archive.

The archive

The archive is the catalogue of all the work the Estate can document, study and classify, with the provenance and current location of each piece. It is not public, and it will not be: much of the work is in private hands, and publishing where a work is puts whoever owns it at risk.

Access is granted to a named person, for a specific piece of work, and for as long as it takes. Curators, conservators and researchers with a project under way: write and tell us what you are looking for.

If what you are looking for is a particular work that has dropped out of sight, the list of untraced work is public and open.

Do you own a work of his?

If you own a work by Eduard Arranz-Bravo, it helps us greatly to document it: a photograph, the measurements and whatever you know about it are enough to begin. Every documented work completes the catalogue and lets the work be studied and placed better.

Documenting commits you to nothing: it is not selling, appraising or lending. The location is never published.

The Fundació is something else

The Fundació Arranz-Bravo is a public art centre in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, open since 2009. It holds the collection of work the artist donated and programmes work by young contemporary artists. It has its own website and its own staff.

Successió Arranz-Bravo, S.L. is something else: the heirs’ company. It administers the whole legacy, authenticates, handles rights and loans and maintains the catalogue of the complete work, including what was never donated.

The two coexist and respect one another. If what you are looking for is the public collection, the current exhibition or the education programme, that is the Fundació. If what you are looking for is authentication, rights, loans or cataloguing, that is us.
